HOSPITAL & CHAPLAINCY VISITS

If you would like a clergy member to visit you or a relative in the hospital, you can make that request through the hospital’s chaplain. If that person is unable to connect directly with someone on our on-call list, you can email us at Haverinbox@gmail.com. Please know that this email is checked daily Monday through Friday but may not align with your timing.

FUNERAL OFFICIANTS

If you need rabbinic or pastoral support for a funeral, the best way is to arrange this through the funeral home of your choice. You may also contact our members directly.

FUNERAL HOMES & MORTUARIES

Both Crist Mortuary and Greenwood and Myers serve the Jewish community. Haver primarily uses Mountain View Memorial Park’s Jewish section for the local Jewish cemetery, however, there are other cemeteries in Boulder County that have Jewish sections, including Foothills Garden of Memory in Longmont, CO, which offers green burials.

CHEVRA KADISHA

The Boulder Chevra Kadisha, or Holy Fellowship, is a group of dedicated volunteers who serve the Jewish community by practicing and coordinating the sacred rituals of Shemira and Taharah – watching over and preparing the deceased for burial with care and dignity. Under the guidance of community rabbis, the Chevra Kadisha serves affiliated and unaffiliated families. Many Haver rabbis work with the Chevra Kadisha, although it is an independent non-profit organization.
